The term "Ashoka" in the Star Wars universe refers to "Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith - Vol. 2: Legacy's End," a Star Wars comic book series authored by Charles Soule. In this series, the character "Darth Vader" visits the Sith planet of Mustafar and encounters Darth Atrius, also known as "Lord Momin."
Darth Vader is told a narrative by "Lord Momin." about an ancient Sith Lord named Darth Atrius, who was previously known as "Atrius" before taking on the Sith title. Atrius was a gifted artist and architect who had built a gigantic stronghold on Mustafar that was fueled by a dark side locus. This castle was built to tap into the Force's dark side and establish a portal to the realm of the dead, allowing Atrius to influence life and death.
"Ashoka" comes into play as the name of Atrius' daughter. Atrius had a daughter named "Ashoka," who was also Force-sensitive. She played a crucial role in her father's plan to manipulate life and death. However, Atrius' plans ultimately led to disaster, and his fortress on Mustafar was destroyed in a cataclysmic event.
It is important to remember, however, that this story belongs in the wider universe of Star Wars' Expanded Universe including novels, comics and other media not directly associated with any film or television canon. As of final edit in September 2021, the Expanded Universe is classified as "Legends" and is not officially part of the core Star Wars canon. Thus, the use of "Asheka" in this context is special to that story and does not affect prominent Star Wars characters like Ahsoka Tano.

Her quest revolves around tracking down and neutralizing Grand Admiral Thrawn, an exiled stalwart of the Empire. The catalyst for this pursuit is an arcane map, shrouded in secrecy, capable of unveiling Thrawn's elusive sanctuary. However, malevolent mercenaries, wielding enigmatic powers akin to the Jedi, unveil their sinister intentions regarding the map, setting the stage for a race against time.

This space epic resides in a realm so distant that the cardinal screenwriting principle of initiating scenes late and concluding them early remains an undiscovered relic. Take, for instance, Ashoka's exploration of an abandoned underground hub on a desolate planet. The setting exudes a certain grandeur, meticulous in its design, reminiscent of Indiana Jones escapades. As trapdoors creak open, artifacts emerge from the sands, and ancient obelisks are manipulated to unleash their latent power. Yet, the unfolding unfolds at a deliberate cadence, raising the query of whether an audience can fully appreciate each meticulous detail if not primed to revel in every aspect of Ashoka's journey.
A cast of characters eventually emerges from this unhurried narrative, enriching Ahsoka's path. A pivotal ally arrives in the form of her enigmatic and talented former protegee, Sabine Wren, portrayed by Natasha Liu Bordizzo. Complementing this partnership is Hera Syndulla, a commanding presence embodied by Mary Elizabeth Winstead—a stalwart in the benign New Republic's ranks. However, within a realm where expository dialogue often takes precedence over visual storytelling, Huyang's comedic potential is stifled. The juxtaposition of Tennant's comedic prowess against lackluster lines culminates in a missed opportunity—a microcosm of the broader "Ashoka" experience.

As "Ashoka" graces the screens of Disney+, an evocative journey awaits, replete with galactic sagas, intricate characters, and potent narratives.
